This election the Māori Party is driven by three key ideas:
Whānau Ora: restoring the essence of who we are - putting the vibrant traditions of our people at the heart of our whānau.
Te Tiriti o Waitangi: we want to face our past with courage, so we can build our future together.
Kāwanatanga: We want a government that values accountability and serving the people; we want a public service that understands the aspirations of whānau, hapū and iwi.
During the term of Government, the Māori Party has delivered $620 million for new initiatives : that’s $2.67 million per sitting day.
We pride ourselves on demonstrating Influence With Integrity: of being entrusted to present the independent voice of Māori in politics, so that every issue is inclusive of tangata whenua experiences and perspectives.
We are driven by the potential of our people to take back control of their lives, and we want to do everything we can to support our whanau to be the very best they can be.
