First action after election

Hi Kyle.

The first thing I would do would be to celebrate. But I do not think that is the answer you are looking for...

I would work to achieve the three priorities that myself and the rest of my Green colleagues have been campaigning for at this election.

- Bringing 100 000 children out of poverty by 2014

- Making our rivers clean enough to swim in again

- Stimulating thousands of smart green jobs

These three priorities would be the first thing on the agenda if I were elected in the Taupo electorate. Because these all apply to Taupo. There are high levels of poverty in the South Waikato, especially in Tokoroa and Putaruru. The Waikato river runs nearly the entire length of the electorate and has suffered from pollution. Taupo has just recently had the opening of the clean energy centre and this should expand so that Taupo is the clean energy capital of the world.

The way to help us achieve these objectives and make sure that we have a richer New Zealand is to party vote Green.
