Stephen Whittington currently works in the tax law team for a large corporate firm in Wellington City. Previously Stephen worked as an advisor to Hon Sir Roger Douglas in Parliament.
Stephen holds a LLB (Hons) and a BA in Latin from The Victoria University of Wellington.
He is a two-time winner of both the New Zealand Impromptu University Debating Championships and the New Zealand Prepared Debating Championships. Internationally, Stephen has twice made the Grand-Final of the Australasian Intervarsity Debating Championships, featuring teams from Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. He has been named as one of the top ten speakers in Australasia, and in 2009 was named as the 15th best speaker in the world.
