Mike is the National Party Candidate for Northland. A father of three and proud Northlander, Mike was raised in Whangarei and now lives at Coopers Beach, in Doubtless Bay with partner Sandra.

Mike’s background includes careers in the Navy, as a signwriter, and the Police. In 2006 he founded MethCon Group Ltd, a company aiming to provide employers, government, and community organizations with better strategies to combat New Zealand’s growing ‘P’ problem.

In October 2010 Mike sold MethCon Group Ltd to one of his staff to commit to a full time campaign in an effort to win the nomination as the National Party Candidate for Northland, bringing with him a sound apprenticeship in the community with regard to public policy and leadership. Mike has a proven record of effectiveness and resilience in the public sector. He has demonstrated his dedication to serving the people and helping build stronger communities for both Northland and New Zealand.
