Resident in Mt Roskill, Mahesh Bindra was born and raised in the city of Mumbai-India. He went to Bombay University, studied Political Science and Psychology and gained a BA (Honours) degree. He was also groomed for a commission in the Indian Army. Mahesh is passionate about Law and Order and Public Safety.
Mahesh is a staunch advocate for providing high quality education to our youth and his children are a fine example of the outcomes that can be achieved out of investing in our youth. His son and twin daughters are successful professionals in their respective fields.
Mahesh has travelled extensively and takes keen interest in the political systems, cultures, ethnicities and values of other countries. He has a deep understanding of the issues faced by the South Asian communities in New Zealand and he keeps connected with the communities through various organisations that he is a member and a strong supporter of. He has contributed vastly towards Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust, Hindi Language and Culture Trust of New Zealand and Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO).
Mahesh has extensive experience in Rehabilitation and Reintegration of offenders into the society and he firmly believes in sharp, short sentences as part of an enlightened Corrections policy.

• Removing double tax on savings
• Removing GST on rates
• Removing secondary tax - Exporters create our real wealth. We have a plan to help them.
New Zealand First will keep our currency pegged to that of our main trading partners.
That way the exporters will be able to expand, increase exports and create new jobs, new wealth for the Family New Zealand
We will stop the sale of state owned assets, and the control of our power stations and the lakes and rivers that feed them.
Will stop the sale of our prime farmland to foreign interests. - We need to support our young people to stay, live and work in New Zealand. Here are just some of our policies:
1) More trade training for our young people
2) We will help pay the wages for apprentices using dole money and an employer top up
3) We will help students pay their loans as long as they qualify and stay here
4) And we’ll throw out fictitious national standards in early education opposed by 90% of the teachers
