Fletcher Tabuteau has been a member of NZ First since its inception in 1993 and is passionate about his association and membership of the NZ First party. He has been a member since the party was launched, because he believes that the NZ First represents common sense and has always had a forthright and clear direction for New Zealand’s future encapsulated in the party’s name which clearly tells people all that we are about; New Zealand and New Zealanders first.”
Fletcher Tabuteau has worked in retail and has run his own consulting business specialising in marketing and business communications. But for the last nine years he has been a successful educator in Rotorua teaching Economics and Business. He, along with his students, have won awards in both specialist areas. The Supreme Business Award in the National Young Enterprise Secondary Schools competition and a top placing in the Auckland University New Zealand Economics Competition.
He currently heads the Future Pathways departments in conjunction with his senior Dean role where he works with his students to help them successfully work through their schooling and then transition from school and onto further education, trade training or the workplace.
In his own time Fletcher is a registered New Zealand Business Mentor where he helps local business owners to learn how to make strategic business decisions for their own businesses and also how best to market their company to the public. “I am passionate about helping people to succeed, whether it is the young people I teach or people out in the community. I feel I am making the best of my own opportunities and I have a real desire to help people realise their own potential and make the best of their own opportunities,” said Mr Tabuteau.
Fletcher is married and has two daughters. Both he and his wife were born and raised in Rotorua. “On my mum’s side I am a local boy with a strong family history in Rotorua and the surrounding districts, I come from the old tribes of Europe and the local tribes; Ngati Rangiwewehi, Ngati Ngararanui and Ngati Whakaue. My Dad’s parent owned and operated the local drapery in Murupara until dad and his brother took it over and ran it for decades themselves. Then mum and dad ran clothing stores in Te Ngae and in central Rotorua until their retirement.”
“I want the best for the people of Rotorua and I want our government to make decisions in the best interests of New Zealander’s and New Zealand not some right wing ideology and corporate interests alone. NZ First is the only vehicle through which I can see myself making a difference for my family, my whanau, my community and my country.”

That way the exporters will be able to expand, increase exports and create new jobs, new wealth for the Family New Zealand
We will stop the sale of state owned assets, and the control of our power stations and the lakes and rivers that feed them.
Will stop the sale of our prime farmland to foreign interests. - We need to support our young people to stay, live and work in New Zealand. Here are just some of our policies:
1) More trade training for our young people
2) We will help pay the wages for apprentices using dole money and an employer top up

4) And we’ll throw out fictitious national standards in early education opposed by 90% of the teachers
