Daryl Smith is married with two children, and has lived in the BOP region for the last 10 years. Daryl stood for the Kiwi Party in the 2008 election in the Rotorua Electorate. A Builder by trade and a Licensed Building Practitioner (project/construction manager) currently working as an Insurance Loss Adjustor/ Building Assessor. Daryl is passionate about our country of New Zealand and maintaining family values/ethics and giving more than lip-service to the meaning of democracy. New Zealand was built on a foundation of traditional values and timeless principles such as the importance of family/whanau. Strengthening the family/whanau is crucial for our communities in this electorate to face the economic and social challenges of the next 3 years and beyond. Maintaining a voice for the people, so that issues of concern are heard is my number one priority.
